Our Story
ZNRG was born out of Fulbright research in developing rural markets, where our founder, Karan Takhar, worked on solar panel installations to bring clean energy to underserved communities. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and in-person activities were paused, ZNRG adapted by launching The Zenergy Podcast, interviewing over 120 climate leaders worldwide to capture their challenges, successes, and insights. These conversations highlighted the urgent need to empower the next generation of climate leaders, leading to the establishment of the ZNRG Foundation to support education, collaboration, and innovation in the climate space. Today, ZNRG has facilitated opportunities for over 200 students to connect with leading climate organizations, hosted two conferences for young professionals, and continues to inspire action through its podcasts and initiatives.

Karan Takhar
Karan, founder of ZNRG, is a dual MBA candidate at Wharton and Harvard Kennedy School. Connecting with over 120 global climate leaders through The Zenergy Podcast and flagship conferences, he inspires collaboration, action, and impactful climate solutions.
Amelia Driscoll
Amelia Driscoll, Content & Media Manager, oversees production and development across ZNRG’s media initiatives. Her role includes content strategy, guest coordination, editing supervision, social media management, audience engagement, and publishing oversight. Amelia ensures high-quality, consistent communication across platforms, driving impactful storytelling and fostering meaningful connections with ZNRG’s audience
Madelyn Hawver
Madelyn Hawver, Program Coordinator, supports ZNRG’s initiatives through research, logistical coordination, studio scheduling, and content management. She plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations and efficient execution across projects, contributing to ZNRG’s mission of inspiring and empowering the next generation of climate leaders.
